help with motion study of gears in mate

I am trying to animate two mating gears that have been correctly mated using gear mate.

I apply the motor to pinion with speed of 100rpm. The pinion is of 10 teeth and gear of 24 teeth. There is an extruded feature in the body of the gear at some distance from its centre bore.

When I play the animation, both the gears move with correct speed, but the extruded feature in the gear moves with very high speed even more than 100rpm.

I just can't figure out why is it happening. Please help me out of this.
